As a follow up to my post about exploring the Facebook connection via the Sitecore Social Connected Module, I wanted to show what type of user profile data you receive from the LinkedIn connection out-of-the-box. When a visitor uses their LinkedIn credentials to log in to Sitecore, a Sitecore user is created behind the scenes for that visitor and their LinkedIn profile data is then accessible just like any other user profile field for that user.
Here is an example of the LinkedIn profile data I was able to grab after using my LinkedIn credentials to log in to Sitecore. The following is a list of key-value data that is connected to the user’s Sitecore profile.
Note that the LinkedIn connection can pull many more fields than displayed below but these are the fields that were able to be pulled based on my LinkedIn profile. You can view a full list of eligible fields in the Sitecore.Social.ProfileMapping.LinkedIn.config file that is added to the “App_Config\Include” directory.

Clearly there is not as much profile data returned as compared to the Facebook connection but this is very useful if you are looking to collect career and industry data about your site visitors.

Hello, I am not getting the full suite of field as you mentioned rather just getting the ln_basciBasicData fields and ln_lastRenewed field. Can you please let me know if I am missing any setting in Sitecore or on Linked to enable the other ln_ fields to be readable from within Sitecore? THNKS
